Angel is a Financial Accounting and Advisory Services partner in MGO’s Los Angeles office. With deep experience in U.S. GAAP and IFRS, corporate finance and financial planning, she advises and helps businesses ranging from early-stage startup to well established companies in a wide range of industries, including cannabis, technology, media and entertainment, nonprofit, retail, and manufacturing. She oversees MGO’s FAAS West Coast practice, proving instrumental in refining its internal processes. Angel has more than 14 years of combined audit, advisory and client accounting services to public and privately held companies. She’s also been involved in business process and SOX control reviews, new standards implementation for revenue recognition and leases, accounting systems implementation, due diligence, M&A, and IPO engagements. Currently, she is building the firm’s market brand awareness to Filipino decision makers in the public and private practices. Prior to joining MGO, Angel worked at a top 10 accounting firm performing SEC and privately held company audits out of their Los Angeles office. She was recently recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the Minorities of Influence in the CPA category. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Information Systems Auditor exam passer.
